Software Engineers lead as the most in demand job role of 2019
Software Engineers are one of the most in demand job roles for 2019, according to new research by job search-engine Adzuna. The study analysed Adzuna’s comprehensive job market data by looking at hiring levels and year-on-year vacancy growth, to identify the most critical hiring sectors of 2018 – and the UK’s most in demand job roles.
Software Engineer jobs, lead the charts with 17,887 vacancies currently available in the UK with an average pay of £51,300. This has been boosted by huge hiring efforts at tech giants Amazon, Google & Facebook: together currently looking to fill over 2,000 open roles, close to record hiring levels.
So let’s have a look at one of the most sought after, C++
C++ is a general-purpose, high-level programming language that allows the programmer to write low-level code. It was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup as an enhancement to the C programming language, widely used for writing operating systems such as Unix.
In addition to companies in the technology sector, there are an increasing number of businesses relying on computer code. No wonder that eight of the top 25 jobs this year are tech positions, according to Glassdoor. A Software Engineer could just as easily find themselves working at Apple, as they could in a hospital, or at an automotive manufacturer.
A C++ software engineer is a professional who has expert knowledge in C++ language, often used in conjunction with UNIX, Linux, Java and Ruby, among others. C++ Software Engineers are adept at developing, designing and evaluating computer programs. C++ Software Engineers may also use SQL, Apache and Windows.
In business, C++ Software Engineers tend to be in a programme management role, assisting with business requirement identifications as they relate to C++ software as well as heading up product design specifications using object-oriented specifications. They also may provide technical support to other staff, test their developments and designs or work on a consultant basis.
C++ Software Engineer jobs are very much sought after in today’s engineering and technical sectors. They are especially valuable if they have at least 5 years’ of experience with cross-platform applications such as C/C++ (UNIX/Linux).
Natalie Tyler discussed the uses and the future of C++ jobs.
“As a specialist recruiter in the technology and engineering sector, I regularly speak with skilled software engineers and professionals adept at a variety of languages, including C++, C#, and Java.”
Today there are several benefits of using C++ for developing applications and many product-based applications are developed in this language due to the features and security. C++ is used in the following technologies:
- Applications: It is used for the development of new applications of C++. Applications that are based on graphic user interface, such as Adobe systems like adobe Illustrator and adobe premiere.
- Gaming: This language is also used for developing games. It overrides the complexity of 3D games. It helps in optimising the resources. It supports a multiplayer option with networking. Uses of C++ allow procedural programming for intensive functions of CPU and to provide control over hardware, and this language is very fast because it is widely used in developing different games or in gaming engines. C++ is mainly used in developing the suites of a game tool.
- Animation: There are animated software, which are developed with help of C++ language. 3D animation, modelling, simulation, rendering software are referred to as the powerful toolset. It is widely used in building real-time, image processing, mobile sensor applications, and visual effects, modelling which is mainly coded in C++. This developed software used for animation, environments, motion graphics, virtual reality, and character creation. Virtual real devices are the most popular in today’s entertainment world.
- Operating Systems: It is also used for developing most of the operating systems for Microsoft and few parts of Apple operating system. Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, office, Internet Explorer and visual studio.
- Compilers: Most of the compilers mainly written in C++ language only. These compilers that are used for compiling other languages like C#, Java etc. It is also used in developing these languages as well as C++ is platform independent and able to create a variety of software.
