Redline become the headline sponsor for the Outspan Rebels Visually Impaired Ski Team

Redline Group, the Permanent & Contract high technology and engineering recruitment specialists, are proud to be the main sponsor of the Outspan Rebels Visually Impaired Ski Race Team.
The Outspan Rebels is a collective of visually impaired skiers from across the UK, brought together to introduce visually impaired skiing onto the able-bodied indoor ski race circuit, making the sport more inclusive for visually impaired skiers.
Prior to 2015, there was no route for a visually impaired skier to access able-bodied coaching and racing in the UK without the assistance of the IPC & disability groups. The Outspan Rebels provide the opportunity to place a visually impaired skier directly onto a training path which is completely integrated with able-bodied skiers.
The Outspan Rebels are from many different clubs around the UK. Each quarter, they come together to train with their Head Coach, Charlotte Evans MBE, Paralympian Gold Medallist in 2014. By pooling their resources, they reduce the costs to access world-class, specialist training for visually impaired skiing and guiding in the UK.
Martin Crapper, Redline Group Managing Director comments: “I’ve known Jamie for many years and was so inspired when I heard what he and others had been doing to bring these incredible opportunities and world-class instructors to visually impaired youngsters. As enthusiastic skiers ourselves, my family and I have experienced the wonderful environment, camaraderie, exercise, and exhilaration skiing (at any level) can bring. Having the opportunity to be a part of supporting the expansion of the Outspan Rebels is a great honour and I can’t wait to meet and ski with them over the next few years.”
Jamie Fuller, Founder of the Outspan Rebels comments: “This new, exciting, arrangement between Redline and the Outspan Rebels will enable us to continue the work that we have started and will help us to create an even stronger team of Visually Impaired Skiers in the UK and more opportunities for our groups. The long-term aim is to encourage more visually impaired people to try skiing and once they have tried – give a clear path to progressing to whatever level they want to achieve be it free skiing or racing.”
