Support the Outspan Rebels road to Tignes

The Outspan Rebels Visually Impaired Ski Team have been invited to join the Paralympic athletes and race against them at the Delancy British Alpine Championships in Tignes in 2019.

Redline Group, the Permanent & Contract high technology and engineering recruitment specialists, continue to be the proud main sponsor of the Outspan Rebels Visually Impaired Ski Race Team, but we need a little extra help to raise £3,000 to fund the road to Tignes for the 2019 meeting.

The meeting produces some fierce competition between the top British skiers. The Championship has previously included popular British Skiers Alain Baxter, Findlay Mickel, and Chemmy Alcott, all previous winners in Slalom, Downhill and Super G titles. Current British superstars will be expecting to race in 2019 include Dave Ryding, Laurie Taylor and Alex Tilley.  From Para Alpine we hope to see Menna Fitzpatrick, Millie Knight and the original super star Kelly Gallagher.

In the hope to encourage further sponsorship, the younger team members of the Outspan Rebels have decided to travel the distance from Northampton to Tignes 1,220Km by a combination of swimming, cycling and running.  Charlie 16, Josh 15 and Hester 11 will share the distance over the next 60 days.

The Outspan Rebels is a collective of Visually Impaired Skiers from across the UK – brought together to introduce visually impaired skiing onto the able-bodied indoor ski race circuit, making the sport more inclusive for Visually Impaired Skiers.

The benefits that skiing gives all visually impaired and blind skiers is difficult to explain unless you see it! It gives them self-confidence, freedom, challenges and a huge amount of self-satisfaction and worth. Anything you can contribute to this cause will be hugely appreciated.

They’re really up for the challenge of racing in Tignes in 2019 and need just a little more of our help to cover the costs of competing.
