Redline beating a Charity path for the MS Therapy Centre

Over the last six months, the Redline Group team has been working tirelessly to raise funds for the employee’s chosen 2019 charity, the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford. Over the last 30 years, they have provided therapies, services, and support needed to enable people living with Multiple Sclerosis to self-manage their condition across the Bedfordshire and Northampton region.

Through a range of events held over the year, Redline has so far managed to raise over £5,000 to support the centre in the vital therapies they offer.

From monthly dress down days, cycling challenges, running half marathons, to abseiling down the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world, no challenge is ever too big.

Our most notable events have so far included:

• Our Director of Contracts & Interim, Peter Livingstone and R&D / Engineering Consultant Michael Diozzi took part in the Prudential RideLondon. The 100-mile bike ride started in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and followed the cycling route through London and into Surrey's stunning countryside. Completed in just over 5 hours they raised over £1,000
• Recently, a small group of employees bravely took part in a jaw-dropping abseil (to conquer their fear of heights for some) raising over £2,000, which to date, remains the most successful fundraising activity.
• In August, Nick Drain, Senior Consultant, completed the Bedford Half Marathon in just under 2 hours, coming 420th out of 2500 people raising just under £600 in the process.

“Over the last few years, it has been very rewarding to see everyone select a charity annually and then dedicate their time and energy, often making financial commitments to raise large sums of money. A core part of Redline’s vision is to use our position to help the wider community through fundraising activities and by supporting the Bedfordshire based centre we’re executing on this vision. I can only keep thanking everyone on behalf of the MS Therapy Centre for all their considerable efforts”.
