Macmillan Coffee Morning at Redline turns Bake Off!

Staff from Redline Group participated in a bake-off to support the Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 29th September, with guest judge Lindsay Irvine from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).

Twenty entrants whisked up a variety of beautiful bakes including cupcakes, brownies, pies, breads and cheesecakes. To add a sprinkling of fun to the proceedings, REC’s Lindsay judged each of the bakes on their appearance, texture and taste to decide the winner of the three different categories.

After much deliberation (and quite a few mouthfuls) Lindsay eventually decided the winner was Contracts Consultant Jordan Wood with his Peanut Butter Cheesecake. Other winners included Carrie Glover for her Chocolate Brownies, Tina Patel for her Ultimate Sausage Plait, and Rachelle Livingstone with her Monkey Bread.

REC account manager Lindsay Irvine comments: “It was great to see everyone at Redline come together to support a good cause.  I enjoyed meeting new members of the team, talking about the support REC membership offers them, and hearing how many of them are already transforming the lives of candidates they have worked with.  As a major foodie, I thoroughly enjoyed my role as official cake tester too!"

The Coffee Morning is one of Macmillan’s biggest fundraising events for people facing cancer. Since the first coffee morning in 1990, donations have reached over £138 million.
