UPS & Critical Power Technician Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA Our client is seeking a hands-on **UPS & Critical Power Technician** to join their growing team based in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician or junior engineer with experience working with **UPS systems, power electronics, batteries and critical power equipment. The successful candidate will work as part of the technical team, supporting the testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and preparation of UPS systems and associated critical power equipment. This is a **site-based position**, with no requirement for extensive nationwide travel. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out testing, inspection, maintenance and repair of UPS systems and associated critical power equipment. * Assist with the installation, commissioning and start-up of UPS systems. * Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults on UPS systems, inverters, rectifiers, batteries, static switches and power distribution equipment. * Carry out electrical testing and functional checks on equipment. * Support engineers with fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance activities. * Assist with the assembly, preparation and configuration of UPS and power electronics equipment. * Identify faulty components and assist with component replacement and repair. * Complete test documentation, service records and technical reports. * Follow electrical safety procedures and company standards when working on critical power equipment. Candidate Requirements: * Working as an Electrical Technician, Electronics Technician, UPS Technician, Service Technician or similar. * Hands-on experience working with **UPS systems, power supplies, batteries, inverters, rectifiers or other power electronics equipment**. * Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems, with the ability to use test and diagnostic equipment. * Experience with electrical testing, fault-finding and component-level troubleshooting. * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. * An electrical/electronic engineering qualification or relevant practical experience would be advantageous. * Strong practical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach. * Valid driver's licence would be beneficial but is not essential. * Comfortable working in a technical, equipment-focused environment where reliability and attention to detail are critical.
