New Business Development Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled New Business Development Manager to become part of a well-established, forward-thinking company that designs and manufactures advanced electronics and electro-mechanical platforms. From ruggedised tablets and computing platforms to complex rack systems and IoT solutions, their products are trusted in critical applications across diverse sectors.

The Role
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead new business development initiatives—identifying, engaging, and converting high-potential prospects into long-term customers. You will drive sales growth across strategic markets while strengthening the company’s brand presence and expanding its customer base.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Prospecting & Pipeline Development
•	Create and execute strategic plans for prospecting and customer targeting.
•	Proactively engage new leads to build a qualified pipeline.
•	Maintain consistent contact to progress opportunities through the sales cycle.
Key Account Development
•	Identify, prioritise, and develop target accounts with strong growth potential.
•	Formulate and deliver Account Development Plans (ADPs).
•	Collaborate with account management to grow revenue and market share.
•	Deliver accurate revenue forecasts and pipeline reporting.
Relationship Building & Networking
•	Nurture opportunities while building strong, trust-based relationships.
•	Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to generate new leads.
•	Act as an ambassador, promoting the brand and enhancing market visibility.
Sales Proposals & Target Management
•	Prepare professional sales quotations and proposals that demonstrate clear commercial value.
•	Manage and report on your pipeline and sales activity.
•	Work closely with internal technical, procurement, and production teams to ensure proposals are commercially viable and operationally deliverable.

About You
You will bring a mix of the following experience and attributes:
•	A proven track record in business development, sales, or key account management within technology, electronics, or engineered solutions.
•	Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management.
•	Ability to design and execute strategic account development plans.
•	Experience preparing sales quotations, proposals, and commercial agreements.
•	Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
•	Commercial acumen with a talent for identifying and securing viable opportunities.
•	Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven sales tracking.
