Electronic Repair Technician An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronic Repair Technician to join a growing and innovative Falkirk based organisation specialising in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of complex electronic equipment. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for fault-finding and repairing a wide range of electronic systems, including industrial drives, HMIs, and circuit boards used across multiple industries. Working within a fast-paced technical environment, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs that help customers minimise downtime and keep critical equipment operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities for this Electronic Repair Technician based in Falkirk: • Diagnose faults on electronic circuit boards and systems using schematics, circuit diagrams, and component datasheets. • Repair electronic equipment by testing, replacing, and reworking faulty components. • Carry out board-level repairs, including surface mount and through-hole components. • Use soldering irons, hot air rework stations, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment. • Perform routine inspection and maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability. • Accurately document repair processes, findings, and components replaced. • Ensure all work is completed in line with quality standards and safety procedures. Skills & Experience Required for this Electronic Repair Technician based in Falkirk: • Strong understanding of electronics and electronic fault-finding techniques. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, circuit diagrams, and component datasheets. • Experience repairing electronic assemblies down to component level. • Proficient in soldering and rework techniques, including surface mount technology (SMT). • Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment. • Methodical problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
