Contract Electronics Engineer

The Redline Group are urgently seeking a Contract Electronics Engineer to support our client in Cambridgeshire on a 3-6 month contract. This is an onsite role, Monday to Friday, and offers the chance to take a lead technical position within a highly respected engineering team.

Our client is a long-standing leader in their industry, known for delivering cutting-edge electronic solutions for complex systems. This role is focused on technical oversight rather than hands-on delivery, ensuring that designs meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance. You’ll be the go-to authority for reviewing schematics, PCB layouts, and FPGA code, guiding engineers through design reviews.

Key Skills Required – Contract Electronics Engineer – Cambridgeshire:
•	Strong experience with OrCAD and Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout
•	Ability to review and make minor updates to VHDL for Lattice FPGA platforms
•	Broad electronics knowledge, including high-speed digital, analogue, and power supply design
•	Proven experience leading a team through review

This role will not accept candidates operating via a PSC; you will therefore need to operate via an Umbrella company.
