Are you an experienced Computer Vision Engineer with a strong background in machine learning for image and video data? Do you live in the Lisbon area or would love the opportunity to live and work in Portugal?

If so, our client – an innovative "tech for good" start-up – is actively hiring for a position based in Lisbon to support operations across their EU and UK functions.

The Computer Vision Engineer, based in Lisbon, Portugal, will be responsible for:

•	Gathering and processing data, developing machine learning algorithms for computer vision, and integrating them into robotic platforms
•	Working independently, ideally with prior experience in remote work environments
•	Supporting both maintenance and new development projects
•	Occasionally travelling to sites for on-site testing and validation
•	Working with custom datasets, including annotation, preparation, and deployment
•	Collaborating with fellow engineers on demo and field-based robotics projects
•	Ensuring optimal camera performance in varying lighting conditions, including low-light scenarios

To apply for this Computer Vision Engineer role, you should have:

•	Experience in machine learning for images/videos, from academic or industry backgrounds
•	Familiarity with GCP/AWS, MLFlow, OpenCV, and data versioning systems
•	Deployment experience using PyTorch, TensorFlow; TensorRT knowledge is a bonus
•	Industry experience, ideally with collecting and labelling image/video datasets
•	High-level degree (e.G. Master’s) acceptable if backed by relevant hands-on experience
•	Strong understanding of object detection, image segmentation, and managing versioned datasets
•	Awareness of how lighting systems interact with cameras to ensure high model accuracy
