Buyer

A Buyer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, contributing to the procurement of materials, components and services within a manufacturing environment.
The Buyer, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, will manage suppliers, purchasing activities and supply chain requirements, helping to maintain stock levels, reduce risk and drive commercial improvements. 
Responsibilities include:
•	Manage a portfolio of suppliers and raise purchase orders using MRP requirements
•	Source new suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery and commercial terms
•	Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
•	Support engineering changes, new product introductions and ERP updates
•	Identify and manage supply chain risks and supplier disruptions
•	Drive cost savings, process improvements and competitive tendering
•	Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and other internal teams
•	Monitor supplier performance and support KPI reporting
The Buyer, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, will have the following key skills:
•	Previous purchasing or supply chain experience
•	Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
•	Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills
•	PCBA/PCB Experience
•	Good numerical and Excel skills
•	Proactive, organised and analytical approach to problem solving
•	Manufacturing or engineering experience would be advantageous
