Responsibilities of this Applications & Test Engineer job based in Fareham:

• Internal prototyping, tuning, testing, and gaining a deep understanding of complete system-level solutions
• Hands-on building and testing of equipment
• Testing of firmware and validation of software
• Troubleshooting and identifying solutions for products already deployed in the field
• Developing proof of concepts based on customer requirements
• Interfacing with customers to understand product needs and translate them into viable aXiom-based solutions

Requirements of this Applications & Test Engineer job based in Fareham:

• Hands-on experience with electronic and firmware testing and fault finding
• Experience within touch technology would be advantageous; candidates from HMI, semiconductor, or wider electronics industries will also be considered
• A degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline (other qualifications considered with relevant skills)
• Strong understanding of electronic circuit analysis and testing
• More than 3 years’ relevant industry experience
• Ability to combine technical testing expertise with a customer-facing, commercial mindset
