My client is a well-known, multi-million-pound company, specialising in the development of both electric and gear motors. The company have almost 100 years of experience and continue to develop ideas for the modern world.

The organisation is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team, applying your mechanical design engineering expertise to lead design solutions, supporting all NPI projects, as well as mentoring junior staff.

The Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job Include:
•	Lead design solutions for all volume for customers including road mapping.
•	Manage new projects through to production.
•	Focusing on design for manufacturing, including reducing material cost and performance improvement.
•	Generate detailed drawings and other supportive documentation.
•	Collaborate with other areas of the team for new product launch.

The Requirements for this Bournemouth based job Include:
•	Previous design experience (3 years).
•	Strong mechanical experience, including casting, injection moulding & materials.
•	Experience of a 3D CAD product (preferably Solidworks).
