A global player in the power industry seeks a Graduate Power Electronics Design Engineer to work on future AC-DC switch mode power supply development. The successful candidate will be a crucial member of the Cambridgeshire based engineering laboratory, as they expand their product and technology.
 
As a Graduate Power Electronics Design Engineer you will be responsible for the full life cycle of development, including research, of new products in the areas related to power electronics in the field of switch mode power supplies, AC/DC. You’ll be a key player in the conceptual stage for new R&D projects, especially in the research of new design techniques and the prototyping phase, whilst supporting the growth and development of the Company’s technology roadmap.

Requirements for the position of Graduate Power Electronics Design Engineer based in Cambridgeshire include:

Qualified to BSc level or above, ideally MSc, PhD in an appropriate discipline (analog, power electronics, digital control theory, electrical etc.).
Experience in the design and development of one of the following: Inverters, SMPS, motor drives, AC-DC, DC-DC, PSU, Power Amplifiers.
Power levels from 400V or above considered.
Good understanding of magnetic FEA is a plus.
