Redline supports Macmillan with another successful Coffee Morning

Another year, another Redline Bake Off supporting the Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 27th September 2019 with our esteemed guest judge Karisha Pithwa, owner of luxury wedding company Crème De La Cakes.

With a large number of Redline’s employees entering the competition across six categories including bread, pies/savoury, brownies and cheesecakes in the hopes of winning the coveted title of Star Baker.

After much deliberation from Karisha covering creativity, neatness, appearance, the difficulty of technique, and taste it was none other than last year’s winner Rachelle Livingstone who took the overall Star Baker title home again!

Though everyone put a great deal of effort into their bakes, the winners for each category were:

  • Best Cake: Rachelle Livingstone
  • Best Savoury Bake: Alice Ledwidge
  • Best Dessert: Graham Cross
  • Best Vegan/Gluten-Free: Rachelle Livingstone

Martin Crapper, Managing Director commented: ”It’s fantastic to see the hard work that everyone put into this fundraising event every year and it is rewarding to know that we can make a difference to this great cause. Well done to everyone who took part and thanks for the donations. Congratulations to Rachelle for taking home the title of Star Baker a second year in a row. Paul Hollywood has some stiff competition!”

The Coffee Morning is one of Macmillan’s biggest fundraising events through which they raised an incredible £26,914,382 in 2018. Let’s hope that 2019 is an even greater success.
