Redline Group's Grand Opening Ceremony

30/03/17 Martin Crapper Managing Director

Redline Group, the Permanent & Contract high-technology and engineering recruitment specialist officially opened their new office with Kevin Green, CEO of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and Labour MP Gavin Shuker as their guests of honour to officially cut the ribbon.

Growing by more than 60% in the last two years, Redline needed to move its HQ from the former town-centre location to The Village Butterfield, a high-quality campus-style office space development to meet ever-growing client and candidate demands.

The investment in a new office supports Redline’s continued strategic expansion of its existing 50+ team to 80+ by 2018, contributing to Luton’s fast employment growth, which is key to a robust UK economy. Gavin Shuker MP comments: “It’s impressive to see a recruitment business which has operated across the UK and mainland Europe for over 35 years, this expansion continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to Luton – which is a great hub for talented people.”

Kevin Green commented “What a great business and a fantastic team. I really enjoyed my visit to this modern workspace. It’s an inspiring environment.”

Redline Directors, Luton MP Gavin, and REC Chief Exec Kevin also participated in discussions covering Labour’s position on Brexit and the triggering of Article 50, STEM education and training, the REC’s Jobs Transformer Lives program and the impact of European workers on the engineering and technical recruitment market.

Martin Crapper, Redline Group Managing Director comments: “We’d like to thank Gavin Shuker MP and Kevin Green for joining us on such an exciting occasion. Investment in the new office is supported by increasing our own internal recruitment activity in Luton and surrounding towns. We’re opening a new Training Academy to identify, mentor and train professionals into this specialist segment of the recruitment industry. This excellent facility provides an outstanding work space for new and existing staff to develop and further their careers. We are genuinely excited to support even more people joining the UK’s £35Bn recruitment industry.”

Natalie Tyler, Talent Acquisition and Training Manager Comments: “Here at Redline, we have developed our Consultants throughout their careers from trainee recruiters to Senior Consultant and management. We have recognised that to succeed within the niche specialist recruitment sectors in which we operate, there is a need for us to ‘grow our own’ talent.  By engaging the behaviours and competencies of a new generation of learners, whilst also empowering them to perform in a forever changing recruitment landscape, the academy provides the first stepping stone for a promising career in specialist technical recruitment.  The Academy is a fully supported end-to-end program that develops the recruiter's skills in candidate attraction, market mapping, pre-screening, interviewing and technical training thus developing a new Consultant's early career with an ongoing mix of internal and external training.”
