Redline Group, the Permanent and Contract high technology
and engineering specialist are delighted
to announce that Laura Preston, Principal Consultant for Redline’s Contracts and Interim Division
has been shortlisted alongside eight others for the Temporary Consultant of the
Year Award at the 2019 REC Institute of
Recruitment Professionals (IRP) Awards.
The distinguished IRP Awards celebration is a way to reward
the best and the brightest in the recruitment industry; it commemorates high
standards of recruitment practice as well as professional excellence.
Laura has been an integral part of Redline’s 60+ strong
recruitment team for over five years and was recently promoted to Principal
Contract Recruitment Consultant. As a senior member of the Contracts and
Interim Division, she specialises in placing technical contractors within the
electronics, software and control & automation sectors.
Furthermore, Laura
completed the REC Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice (QCF) and
recently started working towards her Level 4 Diploma in Recruitment Management
Qualification.
Last year Laura completed ten 10km runs to raise money for
Kidney Cancer UK and is this year she is aiming to outdo herself and run a Half
Marathon on behalf of Redline’s charity of the year, MS Therapy Centre Bedfordshire.
Laura comments:
“I am very proud and honoured to be shortlisted for
Temporary Consultant of the Year for the second year running. It may sound like
a cliché but I’m nothing without the support of the management team and my
colleagues who have taught me all I know and who continue to support my growth
within the business. I am immeasurably grateful.
I am looking forward to once again representing Redline on
the 27th November 2019 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel and will be
hoping it is second time lucky!”
Peter
Livingstone, Contracts and Interim Director comments:
“I am incredibly thrilled and proud of Laura for this
nomination. To be selected for the second year in a row is fantastic. The IRP
Awards is a great way for recruitment professionals from an array of industries
to come together and celebrate each other’s success.
Laura is a crucial member of the contracts team and always
offers help and support to others. Her clients and candidates continuously sing
her praises in regard to her communication and commitment.
I still stand by the comment I made last year when Laura’s
first nomination was announced. Being nominated for an IRP Award is a remarkable
recognition an individual or company can receive in the world of recruitment
and is unique in raising awareness towards the positive role models whose
exceptional work, candidate care and client relations set the bar for all
recruitment professionals and businesses to aspire to.
Redline looks forward to joining and supporting Laura on the
27th November to celebrate the crème de la crème of the recruitment
industry.”
Check out Laura speaking about her experiences in recruitment and offering some advice to budding new recruiters.
