Redline Group, the Permanent & Contract high technology and engineering recruitment specialist are pleased to announce Chris Forysth, Senior Consultant for Redline’s Manufacturing and Operations Division has been shortlisted amongst seven others for Newcomer of the Year for the REC’s Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) Awards.

The prestigious recruitment awards celebrate the best and brightest in recruitment for 2018. For ten years, the IRP Awards has been celebrating the best practice and professional excellence of our inspirational members.

Previous to Redline, Chris spent 10 years as a professional golfer and teacher following a degree from the University of Birmingham in Professional Golf and Business. His first 8 years were spent developing a business career in management and coaching as Head Coach at the UK’s fastest-growing golf entertainment venue. In the last two years Chris followed his dream and competed at the highest levels in professional tournaments. Due to a severe injury Chris was forced to leave golf and used his business education and experience, targeting the £35Bn recruitment industry as a key sector to build his next career.

He was also nominated Employee of the Month by Redline’s staff and senior management team in honour of his outstanding performance and in recognition of passion and dedication to Redline Group.

Chris has also qualified for Redline’s six-monthly Sales Conference which invites the top performing Consultants and Managers from Redline’s 60+ strong team to step back from the hustle of managing multiple recruitment projects, to review and analyse the last 6 months’ performance, and seek new ways to identify, attract and deliver the best technology talent to the high-tech and engineering sectors.

Chris comments: “It’s a nice feeling to be shortlisted for a renowned recruitment award, which is UK wide. I was so surprised when I received the email from the IRP which said I was shortlisted. After such a short time in technical recruitment, it’s nice to be progressing so fast and for it to be recognised not only by Redline but also by the leading industry. I will continue to do my best to better myself and excel in my role and also to mentor others joining the industry. I look forward to working more closely with our growing team and to positively influence them into succeeding just as quickly as I have done. Luckily for me, the competitiveness I have learned throughout my golf career has allowed me to transfer many skills such as mentoring and training and I am now looking forward to progressing even further in my recruitment career.”

Rachael Dent, Head of Operations comments: "Since joining the team Chris Forsyth has been eager to learn, he is motivated and a hard worker, along with bringing new ideas and support to the whole team. He thoroughly understands the world of recruitment delivering top class customer service to all of his clients and candidates. He takes the time to understand each and every requirement and also candidates’ circumstances. Chris’ accomplishments are well deserved and along with his hard work he has also integrated into the Redline business very well and is an extremely valued member of staff."

Rachael continues: "I am delighted that Chris has been shortlisted for ‘Newcomer of the Year’, I look forward to supporting Chris at the IRP Awards later this year at the Royal Lancaster in London on the 29th November."

Over the last 10 years, the renowned IRP Awards has seen over 190 winners, 1,150 shortlisted recruiters and companies, and thousands more recruitment professionals come together to celebrate the best of our industry.

Unmatched in prestige, the IRP Awards are the only recruitment sector awards hosted by the REC and present a unique platform upon which to celebrate the successes of the brightest recruitment professionals and companies in the UK.

Winning an IRP Award is the most impressive industry recognition an individual or company can achieve and is unique in raising awareness towards the positive role models whose exceptional work, candidate care and client relations set the bar for all recruitment professionals and businesses to aspire to.

Redline looks forward to joining and supporting Chris at the Royal Lancaster in London on the 29th November to celebrate the best of the best in the recruitment industry.
