Job description

A leading research and development organisation who design and manufacture complex ultra-high vacuum deposition systems are seeking a UHV Development Scientist - Instrumentation to join their team in Thame, Oxfordshire. This is a very unique opportunity to work for a company at the forefront of thin-film technology and nano-engineering.

As a UHV Development Scientist - Instrumentation you will be responsible for developing new UHV deposition products / systems, working closely with scientists and engineers to build components.

Skills / Experience required:
- Previous experience in the development of UHV products / instrumentation.
- A strong understanding of vacuum deposition techniques.
- Ability to understand both the physics / engineering side of product development.
- Ability to run projects individually, managing timescales to achieve product delivery.
- Exposure to electronics design and mechanical design would be beneficial.
- All candidates be degree qualified in Physics or an engineering discipline, ideally to PhD level.
