Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for my client offer a range of integrated systems including video management systems, enterprise access control systems, software integration platforms, and video walls they are looking for a Technical Support Engineer who will be home based, but will require site visits to the London Boroughs.

The role of the Technical Support Engineer is a home based role but will require site visits to the London Boroughs is to provide 2nd line support for the field engineers and clients, in order to maintain and service digital CCTV and associated electronic security, business process improvement, building management and AV systems on customer sites in London, the southeast and throughout the UK and overseas.

The role of the Technical Support Engineer, in London You will handle ambiguity well, make decisions and effectively manage multiple stakeholders at any time. You will have excellent communication skills within a commercial environment whilst managing multiple priorities simultaneously because of your excellent planning, organisation and leadership skills. You are intellectually curious - driving continual learning for you and your team. You also understand that internal and external collaboration drives improvement and best practice.

The role of the Technical Support Engineer , in London will have Strong understanding of networking capabilities including the ability to configure network hardware. They will have previous experience installing and supporting Microsoft windows operating systems, including network and security settings. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server is desirable they will also have a good appreciation of the wider field of IT alongside a broad understanding of computer system architecture and techniques. A Certification in an Enterprise-class Access Control or Video Management System (VMS) is highly desirable.
