A successful and privately owned company in Slough are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer - Hardware / Software to join their R&D team due to continued growth.

Key responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer - Hardware / Software job:
> To analyse and solve electronic & technical problems
> When required, travel to customer sites worldwide to look at Root Cause Analysis of technical problems if they are unable to be fixed remotely
> To advise customers on the use of products and recommend product enhancements to the R&D team

Key skills required for the Technical Support Engineer - Hardware / Software job:
> Strong experience of carrying out RCA (Root Cause Analysis) independently and within a small team
> Experience of fault finding and repair of micro-electronic circuits
> Experience of running tests and accurate record keeping & reporting
> An understanding of analogue & digital microcontroller circuits and devices

This role will be reporting into the Chief Electronics Engineer and candidates must be flexible as the role will involve occasional International travel. Whilst travel is not often, you must be open to infrequent travel - sometimes with short notice so you must not hold a passport that prevents this.

This role will essentially be the 'face' of the company for their clients, so candidates must be professional and personable as you will be speaking with and meetings both new and existing customers.
