Job description

Our client an Accounting firm in Central London are looking to add further depth to their private client tax team, due to continual success and growth.
The Private Client team is a collective of 30 specialist members and is headed up by 6 very experienced Partners in their fields and two Principal Tax Specialists. The new Tax Senior will sit within this talented team focusing on private trusts and private clients.
The successful Tax Senior will look after a portfolio of clients, and assist management with advisory work which comes to light from that portfolio. This will definitely help for when you want to progress to a management or assistant management role. Also you will be exposed to projects within the team, again this will enhance your career for a later date.

The great thing with this position is that you will report directly to very experienced Managers, the two Principals and directly to the Partners, who have a wealth of experience.

Your portfolio will consist of High Profile Individuals, entrepreneurs, professional people and also some non-UK clients who look at inward Investing.

We are looking for someone who is quick to pick up information on the client affairs and someone who is not scared to ask advice from their senior managers before returning to the clients with key decisions, so already being confident communicating with clients is a must
.
Duties and Responsibilities:

> Preparing tax returns which will be reviewed by the manager
> Be the natural contact between both clients and managers
> Assist with the supervision and training of more junior members of staff within the team
> Assist with the private client issues and suggest tax planning opportunities for clients
> Communicate and liaise with HMRC

To be considered for this Tax Senior opportunity within the Private Client Team, you will have;

> ATT Newly Qualified/ Qualified or Part Qualified CTA
> A minimum of 2-3 years' personal tax experience preferably within a practice environment
> Produced accurate work, and be able to show initiative with very little supervision
> Personal/ income tax, capital allowances, employment taxes, capital gains tax and benefits, and non-UK Doms.
> Have a basic knowledge of capital gains tax, treatment of foreign income, capital allowances, tax credits, and inheritance tax
