An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems & Network Administrator, based in Towcester, Northamptonshire to join a well-established global team of IT professionals supporting a multi-million business with a footprint in the UK, USA. India.

As a market leader, this high technology business is growing - and the expansion will continue via organic growth and acquisition. Their strategy places customers at the centre of everything meaning the IT department must support over 150+ software applications including SAP on many hundred servers.

The Systems & Network Administrator will be responsible for managing the company's IT Infrastructure systems, maintain their availability, performance & security and manage new implementations of company's IT Infrastructure.
The individual should be a hands-on expert, capable of managing the day-to-day IT operation of the businesses servers and complex operating systems. In addition to recommending the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. This will require investigation, analysis and feasibility studies of the global IT system requirements to develop system specifications while identifying methods, solutions, and managing the delivery of a high level of service to the business.

The Systems & Network Administrator job will encompass:
> Providing a mixture of preventative support as well as integration activity around Windows Server and Linux environment, Active Directory, Office365, Azure, VMWare, Cisco Meraki, WAN/LAN and more.
> Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the organisation.
> Install and configure computer and network systems, diagnose hardware and software faults, and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.

Ideal candidates for the position of Systems & Network Administrator will have the following skills:
> Extensive experience of Microsoft environments, including the cloud (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS etc) and maintaince of several domains.
> Expert Knowledge of Server Operating Systems including Microsoft and Linux.
> Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment - routing, switching, and Firewalls
> Knowledge of Security compliance and security tools such as: Splunk, Qualys, DLP, McAfee, SCCM, WSUS.
> Working knowledge of network and TCP/ IP Routing/ Subnetting and NAS connectivity
> Good Attention to detail and overall IT skills.
> Ability to meet deadlines and to work on own initiative.
