Job description

An exciting job opportunity for a Surface Mount Technician has arisen to join the world leader in the design and manufacture of electro mechanical systems for the chemical industry based in Eastbourne.

My client is currently looking for a Surface Mount Technician to join them in Eastbourne. The Surface Mount Technician, Eastbourne will support on technical matters relating to the Surface Mount machines and processes. You will generate machine programs from CAD data in line with New Product Introduction requirements, optimise Surface Mount set ups to improve line efficiency, be responsible for breakdown repair of the surface mount equipment and ensure surface mount machines are backed up on schedule. You will also implement improvement activities within surface mount and will support risk assessments and take appropriate action to prevent manufacturing defects.

The successful candidate for the Surface Mount Technician job in Eastbourne will have previous experience as Surface Mount Technicians. Previous experience with ASM Siplace Surface Mount machines is advantageous along with SAP ERP knowledge.

Please note that this is a SHIFT BASED role and will be on an alternating shift pattern. No nights or weekends.
