Senior Simulation Engineer, ANSYS, Electromagnetic Modelling, EMI, Cambridge - Excellent salary + benefits

This job represents a fantastic opportunity for a Simulation Engineer with a good academic background and modelling / simulation experience(ideally, electromagnetic ( EMI ), thermal or electrical charcteristics), using ANSYS to join a successful, expanding, fun to work for Cambridge based Electronics R & D company who are doing some really interesting work in sophisticated nano-control and image stabilisation / autofocus IP generation. Their platform is all based upon their proprietary Physics IP, which enables precision control and positioning to tolerances nobody else in the world can manage.

You will be working in a very high calibre, similarly qualified, mixed discipline team of Physicists, Electronics Engineers, Firmware and Software Engineers, to develop a platform which enables ultra high precision (sub micron) image stabilisation, which is in use in high spec smartphones and portable devices around the world and is now moving into medical applications drones, autonomous vehicles and AR / VR applications.

Main Responsibilities for the Senior Simulation Engineer - ANSYS, EMI job:

> To work within a high calibre team of mechanical, control, electronics, firmware and performance engineers, to model the electromagnetic emissions from proposed PCB designs and predict system-level electromagnetic interference (EMI), thermal and electrical performance.
> Responsible for validity of models created
> Specify, develop and evaluate solutions to drive their micro control technology, and support transfer of these into high volume production.
> Interface with R & D partners and customers to understand their requirements and to deliver the assistance that they need to use their products.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

> 1st Class or 2:1 BSc or BEng in Engineering, Science or other relevant degree course
> 3 + years' industrial experience and achievements, using ANSYS
> Experienced user of FEA Software
> Experience in modelling EMI from PCBs
> Experienced in Electromagnetic Modelling

Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience for this job:

> Thermal modelling
> Modelling of electrical characteristics of systems
