If so, we have an exciting opportunity for yourself! A position has arisen for a Senior / Principal Design Engineer - FPGA / High Speed Digital, based in Oxford.
Due to continued growth our client are seeking a Senior / Principal Design Engineer - FPGA / High Speed Digital, to join their diverse engineering team where you will be responsible for designing digital circuits and FPGA's. You'll be working on new product development from concept to manufacture.
In this Senior / Principal Design Engineer - FPGA / High Speed Digital the successful candidate will be involved in the following activities:
- Design digital electronic circuits using a combination of Application Specific and Programmable Logic devices interconnected by High Speed Differential links.
- Designing FPGA's and the digital electronics around the FPGA.
- Design PCBs to meet the Signal Integrity requirements of High Speed Differential links working with our sub-contract PCB & S.I. Specialists.
- Participate in the architectural designs for electronics.
- Undertake design feasibility studies and investigations, identifying and evaluating new technologies.
- Manage prototype manufacture and testing
Skills and Competencies for the Senior / Principal Design Engineer - FPGA / High Speed Digital, will include:
Candidates should be experienced in some or all of the following:-
- Designing digital electronic circuits using a combination of Application Specific and Programmable Logic devices and the following devices: PCIe switches, DDR RAM, flash, SRAM, I2C devices, batteries, high speed interconnects.
- Good knowledge of FPGA's
- Signal Integrity design for High Speed Differential links.
- Designing high speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR2/3 etc
