My client is a well-know for providing advanced control system technology for electric and hybrid vehicles and off-road equipment and are one of the UK's leading suppliers of traction battery chargers and LED safety lighting.
The organisation is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join their busy engineering team who are based in Tyne and Wear. This role entails designs, prototypes, test, troubleshoots and repairs of power electronic systems and assemblies.
As the Senior Power Electronics Engineer job, you will be responsible for:
> Design and debug power electronic circuits, components and PCB assemblies for new product development and sustaining projects.
> Design, prototype and test the custom electromagnetic components.
> Design, test and optimize control loop stability
> Design, setup and run tests to ensure the design meets specifications.
> Develop and apply new techniques, circuits, and tests for product design.
> Maintain records and documentation on all designs, tests, and analysis.
The requirements for the Senior Power Electronics Engineer job are:
> Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus experience in power electronics design, preferably static power conversion (i.E. DC:DC, AC:DC).
> Experience with design of electromagnetic components (high frequency transformers, filter chokes).
> Demonstrated knowledge of PCB layout and schematic capture tools.
> Demonstrated knowledge of circuit analysis, simulation, and design of experiments.
