Job description

My client design and manufacture complex RF / Electronic products and systems that are used to provide high speed broadband and IoT solutions and services.

Due to expansion they currently require a Senior Hardware Design Engineer - Digital to join their Central London R&D team.

You will join a small, highly skilled, team of engineers working on the company's latest products. They are about to embark on new design projects and are at the requirements definition stage, so this is a great time to join and still have influence on the designs.
After talking to the hiring manager, the role is based around very complex board design, incorporating dual ARM Cortex design and Ethernet switch to CPU's, for example.

The job is primarily focused on high speed digital design. You'll be used to designing around FPGA's, but they do not want a specialist FPGA Design Engineer. 70% of the job is high speed digital, 30% will be analogue / PSU design / specifying PCB design etc.

Technical responsibilities of the Senior Hardware Design Engineer - Digital, will include:

- Design, verify, commission, and productise board-level hardware designs for the company's products.

- Taking ownership of hardware designs from concept to manufacture.

- Collaborating with members of a multi skilled team

Skills for the Senior Hardware Design Engineer - Digital are:

- Several years' experience in a relevant industry

- Strong background in high speed Digital and Analogue circuit design from initial concept, specification, and design through to software and systems integration, test, and manufacture.

- A strong background in high speed digital design from initial concept to manufacture

- Strong knowledge of designing around FPGA's

- Strong experience of working on the ARM Cortex family of MCUs, combined with FPGAs

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, dynamic technology company offering very challenging work, great career prospects in their Central London location.
