Highly experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer requirement for a fast-paced and expanding designer/manufacturer of next generation products at their offices in the West Midlands.

You will be responsible for:
- Taking a Project/Team lead on specific development plans and successfully delivering on time and in budget.
- Full-life cycle software development, taking a hands-on approach and collaborating cross-function with other members of the engineering team.
- Direct interaction with potential and existing customers to support first-hand with product development
- Taking an active role in project planning and maintaining work to deadlines
- Potential avenues for own development within the role including researching new technologies and software methodologies as side projects.

Key Requirements for the Senior Embedded Software Engineer job based in the West Midlands include:
- Degree-qualified ideally, however those with strong demonstrable industry experience will also be considered.
- Practical experience of leading projects and teams on key customer deliverables
- Proven experience in writing embedded C code from scratch to run on real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Full development life-cycle experience (SDLC)
- Familiarity in writing code directly onto a range of different microcontrollers.
- Bright, enthusiastic, self-reliant and good at problem solving with minimal backup.
- Experience of working on medical devices, in particular a knowledge of IEC62304 is HIGHLY desirable.
