My client are seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer - Analogue / Instrumentation in the Cambridgeshire area. My client are leaders in the design and manufacture a broad range of Instrumentation equipment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer - Analogue / Instrumentation to join an excellent, well established organisation that is growing year on year.

The role is to design Analogue and Digital circuits, bias towards Analogue, as part of companies sensor systems and Interface units (controllers). The Senior Engineer is expected to take the technical lead on the project to which they are assigned, to ensure the product achieves the target requirements specification. So you will have experience of taking designs from concept into manufacture.

The Senior Electronics Engineer will be a senior member of the Engineering Team and be involved in establishing the architecture of future product ranges.

The ideal person will have good analogue design skills and will come from one of the following industries:- sensor, instrumentation, laser, opto-electronics, gas detection.

Person Specification for the Senior Electronics Design Engineer - Analogue / Instrumentation:
Good low level analogue design skills, probably from an Instrumentation background, with an understanding of effect of EMC on sensitive instrumentation.
The candidate will have an appreciation and demonstration of good EMC design - related to instrumentation in Industrial environments
The role is bias towards Analogue circuit design. But will also require knowledge of various 8/16 bit microcontrollers, coupled with high speed communications
Inquisitive, inventive and pragmatic. Good attention to detail.
Some experience of practical measurement of physical phenomena e.G. Flow metering, viscosity, particulates, gas concentration, thermometry etc. Would be highly beneficial.
