Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Analyst, for their global manufacturing business, who will be the leader in the assurance of the integrity and accuracy of globally consolidated financial results.

This is a pivotal role within the business and is to support the global supply chain Finance Manager and the Senior Cost Analyst will work very closely with the manufacturing operations and global finance team, to drive a streamlined and controlled processes, with relevant reporting, and value added analytics.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cost Analyst to join a unique company which is a development from a large well known global company. Essential Functions

> Work with manufacturing operations to support all elements of the business
> Plant operations: standard costs, inventory, labour, overhead, reserves, capital expenditures, variances, etc.
> Support purchasing with: requisitions, accounts payable issues / accruals, deflation / inflation measurements, vendor set-up, etc.
> Understand, analyse, and report all elements of: variable costs, gross / net margin rates and drivers, and balance sheet (inventory, accounts payable, etc.)
> Drive standardisation/process improvement in all aspects of operations, analysis, and reporting. Ensure documentation and cross-training.
> Lead relevant cross business initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications/Requirements

> Degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field required. Prefer a practising certificate from a recognised body (ACCA, AIA, ICAEW, CPA, etc.) Audit experience preferred.
> Minimum 4 years of relevant financial or cost experience.
> Self-motivated, autonomous, and proven “do-it yourself” attitude.
> Experience with SAP suite, building SOX compliant processes highly desired.
> Strong Excel, Microsoft suite, and ERP system stills required.
> Team player with developed and proven leadership and influencing skills.
> Strong reporting, analysis and project management skills.
> Attention to detail with emphasis on relevant reporting to ensure deliverables are connected with operating plans.
> Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
> Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
