My client, who has Global presence is seeking a Senior Buyer to join the Cambridgeshire site. My client are part of a global leader who design and manufacture a range of highly engineered components and subsystem solutions which are used in the advanced photonics, vision and precision motion markets.
The Senior Buyer, Cambridgeshire will be responsible for managing supplier relationships as the key point of contact, monitoring market conditions, understanding market constraints and ensuring continuity of supply of long lead-time components / parts on allocation, along with executing procurement activities utilizing MRP, Microsoft office tools & other systems to ensure that materials are delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price and to the required specification. You will work with senior management to establish and implement “inventory purchase agreements†that support the reduction of lead times, on time delivery, the prevention of excess inventories, and increased inventory turns and liaise with the Quality Team in issuing, follow up and close out of Supplier NCMRs..
The Senior Buyer, Cambridgeshire, will ideally have 3+ years of purchasing experience and hands-on experience with Oracle and/or other ERP systems. Experience with Electronic commodities is essential.
