Job description

Senior and Principal Electronics Engineer positions to work on exciting new (and current) projects in UAV's / Drones and next generation alternative energy. Based in the East Midlands on a modern campus location. Salary range is broadly in the £ 40 - 57K'ish range, experience / ability dependant.

I have been asked to search for a Senior and a Principal Electronics Engineer with strong Analogue and Digital design skills, ideally with some Power Electronics experience to join the Product Development team of an expanding Electronics R & D company, who are doing pioneering work in next generation fuel-cell technology. The company are at the very forefront of the Renewable Energy Sector and their tech is already being used in UAV / Drone and Electric vehicle applications, with interest being shown by a number of other sectors.

Due to a period of sustained growth and new projects, they are now looking for a Senior and a Principal Electronics Engineer with experience of designing high reliability, multi-layer power, analogue and digital PCB's / PCBA's, to join their multi-skilled R&D team, where you will be involved with the development of products for use in applications ranging from Drones and Electric Vehicles to small portable power devices and motive systems.

As a Senior or Principal Electronics Engineer - Analogue / Digital you will be responsible for designing a range of complex electronics based products and be involved in researching and prototyping new technologies and methods to improve customer workflows.

Essential skills for these jobs include -

- 3 + years real product development experience using a combination of Digital, Analogue and Power electronics techniques.
- Experience with designing high reliability, multi-layer, Analogue and Digital PCB's / PCBA's (ideally Altium Designer) for prototyping and volume production.

Additional skills and experience of interest include -

- Designing for EMC / Certification
- Thermal management
- Designing control / monitoring solutions
- Power Electronics at DC - DC, upload boost etc level
