Job description

Global consumer goods company are currently looking for a SAP Rollout Project Manager to work at their office in Leighton Buzzard.

They have c2,000 staff globally with c150 in the UK. They have completed their global template for implementing SAP across the business. Your role will be to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of the template locally, at Leighton Buzzard. Obviously, this will require working closely with several stakeholders in the business. And ensuring that technical and change management elements are taken care of. The Leighton Buzzard site has various departments including: Sales, Finance, HR, Purchasing, Production and IT.

You must have prior SAP rollout experience, but they are not looking for a technical SAP expert. So, it's imperative that they find someone with excellent people skills and commercial understanding, able to cope with the change management aspects involved. The specific version of they are rolling out is SAP 4HANA

Summary - SAP Rollout Project Manager:
Ensure a successful delivery of the project to the local entity in cooperation with the local management team and the centralised project management (template approach, fit/gap for legal requirements). Cooperation with central project team to enable transparency and harmonisation as a prerequisite for a local implementation of the program. Coordination of the involved employees and departments as well as close coordination with the implementation partner.

Responsibilities of the SAP Rollout Project Manager are:
- Business readiness assessments and tracking
- Define and implement local risk tracking (Risk management) and outline blocking issues
- Identify legal requirements and local compliance necessities
- Identify and evaluate Brexit-driven impacts on roll-out setup and activities
- Establish early master data management and cleansing
- Rough analysis of expected gaps to Global Template Business Model
- Identify and set up local roll-out team in alignment with local and central management
- Coordination and planning of local roll-out activities
- Steering of local roll-out team and monitoring that project rules are followed
- Reporting to local - and central project management
- Support project's change management roadmap and activities (secure the knowledge transfer of process changes for the internal users)
- Set up of local cut-over and business contingency plans (SAP parts to be included)
- Support all project teams for local activities(interfacing between central and local teams)
- Establish knowledge transfer from global template to rollout, independently hold meetings
- Workshops and training sessions for key users
- Central contact for local team throughout the entire rollout project

Once SAP has been implemented in the UK, you will help support other European sites who will be rolling SAP out next. This will involve some travel to France, Germany and Italy. But those countries will have their own local SAP Rollout Project Manager. So, your involvement will be more to pass on lessons learned from the UK implementation.

Once SAP has been fully roll-out there will be an ongoing need for this person to: Be part of the team that continues to support the SAP system, lead, or part of, following optimization projects and continuous work on change management locally.
