Sales Engineer - Chemistry Degree - WFH

A Leading US manufacturer and supplier of Chromatography purification instruments and consumables are looking for a Sales Engineer - Chemistry Degree based in Scotland
The primary markets for these products include chemical and pharmaceutical, discovery and development, labs as well as research groups working in other forms of purification including Biomolecules & Natural Products. They also manufacture, and supply, high pressure precision fluid delivery systems. The position will require travel and you must be happy to have overnight stays depending on location at least 1 overnight stay a week, this position also includes an uncapped commission package.

Responsibilities for Sales Engineer - Chemistry Degree - WFH, based in Scotland

If your a recent graduate with a Chemistry degree, full training will be given on the responsibilities below. You will initially work closely with an experienced sales person, attend product demonstrations and attend training. To ease you into the work / role described below. A bit of previous sales experience would be great. As would previous experience in a scientific environment and a desire to move into professional sales.

Focal and utilise solution-selling to generate revenue by developing the Scotland area.
Customers potentially through forecasting, lead generation, qualification and closing sales.  
Identify new customers who will benefit from the products or services and maximise client potential in the North of England and Scotland Region.
Develop long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements.
Negotiate sales to meet both customers and company needs.
Active use of Linked Inn and Twitter Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after - sales support services.
Identify and attend appropriate trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.


Qualifications for Sales Engineer - Chemistry Degree - WFH, based in Scotland

Sales experience ideally. Open to people with a recent Chemistry degree and a strong desire to get into a sales role that will use their Chemistry knowledge.
Knowledge of Chromatography would be great, but not essential as fully training wlll be given.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office application tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently, sometimes under pressure from both sides and to deploy a high degree of flexibility.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
Responsive and result orientated with strong communicative skills both written and verbal.
