Job description

My client is an industry, global manufacturer of high-performance Interconnect products and solutions, selling a wide range of products to leaders within the Mil-Spec & Aerospace/Defence industry.

To continue their growth, they seek to appoint an Sales Director.

The Sales Director will have P&L responsibility for the region, developing, implementing and leading strategic business initiatives to achieve overall objectives through a team of internal sales, field sales, marketing and support staff. The role will involve significant interface with Tier 1 Mil Aero customers and suppliers, leading plans to expand into new vertical markets and developing members of the team to further enhance their reputation for excellence in product, service and customer experience.

The successful Sales Director will have a demonstrable background of managing and developing EMEA sales and related operations, an in depth knowledge of the Mil/Aero market sector, with a proven and current track record of managing a significant, sales-led team and operation, ideally within an electronic component or related market sector.

You will ideally be based within commutable distance to a major UK airport or be prepared to relocate as the role requires extensive travel.
In addition to excellent management, hands-on leadership and organisational skills, you will possess the gravitas and credibility to hold the attention of senior management whilst remaining the most credible commercial individual in the business. Your drive, tenacity and personality will set the tone and you will be regarded as an example to both your reports and more widely within the company.
