Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safety Standards Engineer, to join a company who are leaders in the design, development and manufacture of inkjet printers for the printing industry, based in the Cambridgeshire area.

You will be working in a unique environment where you will work on interesting projects that are always innovating and challenging. Based in Cambridgeshire.

The Safety Standards Engineer, Cambridgeshire, will report in to the Mechanical Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with machine safety legislation in the EU and North America. The role will promote safe machine design and provide a focal point for machine safety related issues. Other responsibilities will include identifying and documenting risks, conducting inspections and audits to evaluate effectiveness of hazard control measures, undertaking safety analysis of machines using SISTEMA to ensure compliance with ISO BS EN 13849 and reviewing operator manuals. The Safety Standards Engineer will also need to provide feedback on machine design to Project Managers and Designers to ensure safety regulations and will be able to provide technical information on safety issues and current standards.

The Safety Standards Engineer, Cambridgeshire, will have a relevant degree or experience within a similar role along with knowledge of safety standards such as BS ISO12100, BS EN 13849 and BS EN 60204. It will be beneficial if you have knowledge of AutoCAD.
