Are you an experienced Reliability Engineer - Power Electronics with a passion for continuous improvement?

Due to rapid growth, my client is looking to employ a Reliability Engineer - Power Electronics based in the power electronics industry with a strong focus on Environmental, FMEA, FMECA and C&E testing.

My client is a global leader in power electronics for the rail, Energy and Defence industries and have won numerous awards for their innovative concepts and designs.

Job Purpose:

To evaluate electronic designs in order to assess product reliability, safety and risk, identifying need for reliability improvement and risk mitigation where appropriate. To identify opportunities for continuous improvement of design and process relating to the companies products.

Main Duties/Functions of the Reliability Engineer - Power Electronics will include:

- To be the company champion for reliability enhancement testing, stress screening and continuous improvement for product reliability
- To lead, generate and maintain: Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Failure Mode and Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Cause & Effect (C&E) matrices to derive effective risk mitigation control plans.
- Monitoring and reporting field failure trends; recommending necessity for action where appropriate.
- To generate Field Modification Instruction (FMI) where necessary.
- Produce reliability and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) predictions using best industry practice techniques including MIL - 217F.

You will need a combination of the following skills to apply for this Reliability Engineer - Power Electronics Role:

- HNC / ONC Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience of applying reliability studies and analysis to electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
- Recognised qualification in reliability engineering or related Six Sigma discipline.
- Knowledge of Reliasoft reliability software.
