Our client in Newhaven, East Sussex is offering a thrilling opportunity for a Quality Control Team Leader. As the on-site Quality Control Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the quality control team's day-to-day operations, conducting root cause analysis, and preparing reports.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Control Team Leader:
- Proactively enhance product quality standards by ensuring quality control processes are in place.
- Ensure that all products ordered are consistent, fit for purpose, and meet both internal standards, customer expectations, and specifications.
- Ensure effective communication and resolution of all QC issues between the production and QC/QA departments.
- Monitor and advise on the quality control system's performance and develop it as required.
- Conduct ISIR on components as requested by QA engineer and maintain written records outlining decisions and agreed-upon actions.
- Collaborate with production to address any quality issues that arise and agree on actions to move forward.
Essential Requirements for the Quality Control Team Leader:
- Previous experience in a Quality Control role or a similar position is required.
- Root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of inspection measuring equipment such as Vertex, Keyence, etc.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Understanding of product testing methods.
Desirable for the Quality Control Team Leader:
- Experience in ISO 9001 and quality systems in general.
- Knowledge of injection moulding.
- Experience working in a quality department or test lab environment.
