My client, an industry leading precision engineering company in Somerset have a fantastic job opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team.

The Quality Engineer, based in Somerset is responsible for ensuring that the company's business systems, quality infrastructure and practises meet the standards and that their products exceed the quality standards required to minimise quality costs, maximise customer satisfaction and drive quality improvement. As Quality Engineer, based in Somerset you will develop and maintain quality assurance throughout the product development cycle and for new product introductions. Handle internal and external audits, perform root cause analysis, resolve problems and drive corrective actions/ improvement. As Quality Engineer, based in Somerset you will also identify, monitor and report on cost of quality KPI's and implement a continuous improvement culture using tools like 8D, PPAP and Six Sigma.

The successful Quality Engineer, based in Somerset will have a degree in Industrial Science, Engineering or equivalent by experience. You will have a minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing quality engineering in a volume production environment. As Quality Engineer, based in Somerset you will have experience in continuous improvement and ideally be ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 lead auditor trained.
