Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager, to join a team to design and engineer software for a Market Leading Visual Motion Capture company, based in Oxford.

This Project Manager job offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for designing motion capture software for numerous industries, including Medical, Sports Science, Media and Interactive Entertainment.

Previous projects worked on by the business include:

- Special Effects for the Movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle
- Creating Visual crowd effects for the Movie Blade Runner 2049

And many more box office hits, with even more exciting opportunities coming soon.

The Project Manager will oversee numerous projects, managing between 6-25 bespoke projects for a variety of industries, with a well established and expanding team of developers and engineers, in a friendly and social environment.

Key Skills and Requirements for the Project Manager Job include:

Strong Multi disciplinary knowledge of Hardware and Software Practises.
Be able to demonstrate project management experience of leading development projects, preferably including new product development environments
Hold a recognised project management qualification such as Prince 2 practitioner and have experience of Agile development
Be able to maintain a project budget
Have a structured and logical approach to problem solving with the ability to influence others
Be able to ensure adherence to VICON ISO 9001 & 13485 quality standards
Must Have exposure or proven experience managing C, C++ Software Development Teams.

Training and Development for the Project Manager Job will be offered in the following areas:

Software and hardware test management and QA processes
JIRA and Confluence software from Atlassian or alternative development productivity tools
Formal Agile development qualifications
Knowledge of motion capture technology and processes

This job is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, who wants to work on Bespoke Motion Capture systems being used in Blockbuster films, AAA games as well as in hospitals, virtual reality installations, and research fields ranging from sports science to robotics and drone development.
