If you answer yes to both of the above then we have the job for you. My client is a global leader in the design & development of science & engineering instrumentation. They are currently recruiting for an Project Engineering Manager - Automation & Controls to join their growing R&D team.

As a leader of a multi-disciplinary controls & automation engineering team you will drive and coordinate the activities related to this business unit.

As an Project Engineering Manager - Automation & Controls you will be responsible for:

> Leading Automation Systems Projects - Leading by example the, Project Engineering Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial engineering projects contributing to the overall capacity of the Automation Systems supply team. The Project Engineering Manager may also provide an escalation path for Project Leads.
> Engineering Management - Providing line management support to ASG UK project engineering team through coaching, mentoring and performance appraisal. Develop interdisciplinary engineering skills across the team. Allocate engineering resources and arbitrate where necessary.
> Engineering Excellence - Ensuring project requirements are achieved while meeting all necessary safety, compliance and technical standards are met. Fostering innovative design in the creative phases of projects and profession discipline in the detailed realisation of solutions.
> Project Excellence - Promoting wide project stakeholder engagement and facilitating open and honest communications. Ensuring projects are appropriately planned, managed, executed, fully documented and all necessary records are maintained.

To apply for this Project Engineering Manager - Automation & Controls position you will have experience in the following:

> Knowledge & experience in industrial software engineering, SCADA, PLC, control and automation knowledge.
> ?Demonstrated engineering design experience over a broad range of disciplines in an interdisciplinary environment.
> Proven ability to produce high quality engineering output using a broad range of design tools and systems (e.G. CAD).
> Extensive commercial awareness and experience within a commercial project engineering organisation.
