Are you looking for a great Product Manager job in Bedfordshire??

My client design and manufacture a range of consumer electronic products that are sold all over the world to retailers and distributors.

Due to expansion, they currently require a Product Manager - Consumer Electronics, to join their busy e-commerce commercial team.

They are a leading B2B / B2C company and their B2C operations have more than doubled year on year for the past 4 years and are predicted to continue to do so as it invests in developing new internal and external talent, new products, new ranges, new markets, new sales initiatives, technologies and agile working practices.
They are looking to recruit an experienced and versatile Product Manager for its E-Commerce Department, primarily supplying to Amazon (UK, EU, USA, Japan & Mexico), to manage the process of creating and sourcing new product ranges for the e-commerce market (from initiating product concepts through to production, product launch and managing the product lifecycle), directing Far East factories in product development, and effectively reviewing processes for constant improvement. There is only minimal travel expected to the Far East, when travel restrictions are lifted,, likely to be one trip a year.

Responsibilities for the Product Manager - Consumer Electronics, will include:
- Creating product ranges from early brainstorming through to design and specification, sourcing reliable manufacturers, production, pricing and delivery, and ensuring quality
- Managing the process of bringing new products to market
- Develop and deliver fast and effective product launches
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and specify new products and range opportunities through market research, software tools and analysis.
- Management of the product lifecycle, ensuring products meet customer expectation and lead an effective continuous improvement program
- Direct our Far East factories in product development including materials, specification and performance requirements.
- Work with product design team to create new and innovative product concepts and make them a reality through clearly defined manufacturing briefs and communication.

Experience/Requirements for the Product Manager - Consumer Electronics, will include:
- Proven Product Management experience within the consumer electronics industry
- Strong experience and skill within product sourcing and product development.
- Experience of working with and spending considerable time communicating with Far East manufacturers
- Experience developing and managing both ODM and OEM products
- Strong commercial understanding and analytical skills
- Experience working in a fast paced e-commerce environment would be beneficial

Qualities required for the Product Manager - Consumer Electronics, will include:
- Creative and ‘can-do' approach
- Driven and results focussed with emotional immunity to failure and resistance
- Excellent facilitation and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver training and presentations
- Good communicator, both written and verbal, able to communicate and implement new ideas across the business at all levels
- Available to travel to the Far East (once travel restrictions have been lifted)
- Qualified driver
