Job description

Product Development Engineer - MOSFET is required for this renowned international electronics company who design and produce semiconductor power transistors, IGBT, MOSFET chipsets and components that are typically used in industrial, automotive, mobile, and computer applications (such as power supplies, PSU, SMPS).
The role will be based at their facility that is in the Manchester (Cheshire) North East catchment area (including commutable from Yorkshire, Sheffield areas etc).

The Product Development Engineer - MOSFET will be part of an engineering team developing leading power (MOSFET) technologies which will involve the design, NPI and programme management of IC projects. This is a multi-functional role and will include the undertaking of simulation studies, device concepts, all being developed to a level suitable for volume manufacture.

Requirements for the Product Development Engineer - MOSFET role

- Have power device physics knowledge gained from either a semiconductor IC or general electronics power design background (e.G. PSU, SMPS, IGBT, MOSFET etc).
- Will have used industry standard CAD tools such as Cadence, or simulation tools such as Pspice, T-CAD, TSuprem and Medici and could currently be in IC design or areas such as Device Engineering.
- Applicants should be customer focused, methodical, and able to work with technical detail, willing to learn and be able to communicate cross functionally with a busy team environment.
- You will need to be educated to at least a degree level in a related discipline such as Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering or Semiconductor Physics.
