This is a full time and permanent engineering job working within the Hertfordshire area, easily commutable from locations such as Stevenage, Cambridge, Hitchin, Luton, Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas. The purpose of the Process Engineer is to hold responsibility for the implementation and optimisation of the organisations high-tech automated assembly equipment. Additionally, you will also responsible for individual process yields.

The Role

This is an exciting time as our client continues its journey cementing its position as the market leader within their field. They are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their constantly evolving team who are based in Hertfordshire.

You will be responsible for implementing, optimising and maintaining automated assembly equipment whilst also monitoring and optimising processes to achieve yield target. You will be able react to quality & production problems and to perform root cause analysis which will in turn reduce cycle time and labour contribution whilst maintaining quality

You will have a strong involvement with the implementation and monitoring of Statistical Process Control (SPC), will support production readiness and stability for NPI and champion and consistently support the continuous improvement group.

You will work closely with the R&D group, the Production team, Operations Management, Project Engineering, Equipment Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering.

The Person

You, being the ideal Process Engineer will have the ability to work autonomously, a strong work ethic with a positive and proactive attitude.

You will have substantial knowledge of advanced robotics/automation, adhesive technologies, experience implementing SPC systems and experience working within New Product Introduction.

Education and Experience:

Typically a role of this level requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years and a Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
