Are you an experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer- P&ID looking to work for an industry leader in Gas transport and handling?

My client is a global leader in the Gases Industry, with fantastic career opportunities, and are now seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer- P&ID to join their growing engineering team based in Rotherham.

The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer- P&ID will work closely with a team of highly-skilled engineers to specify and design P&ID / Pipework / Pressure Vessels / Pressure Systems and rotating machinery including compressors, pumps.

Requirements of the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer- P&ID:
- Degree Qualified in a Mechanical, Process, Oil and Gas Engineering field (Or similar).
- Holding Chartered Engineer Status or working towards.
- Experience working in the Industrial Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Pharmaceutical, Chemical or Water Industry.
- Strong background in P&ID / Pipework / Pressure Vessels / Pressure Systems etc. They would also like someone who's had some experience of specifying Compressors or Pumps within a gases / P&ID environment.
- At least 10 years of post-graduate experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer- P&ID:
- Provide Mechanical Engineering expertise in areas including rotating machinery, compressors, pumps, pipework, and valves.
- Use your knowledge and experience to provide technical support to internal projects, process operations and maintenance personnel.
- Support and mentor less experienced members of the Mechanical Engineering team, to help them reach their full potential
- Be a core member of the Mechanical team of experts, setting the standards that others will follow
