My client is enabling technologies for industrial growth markets and have evolved from a company that was primarily focused on one industry, to one that serves multiple markets that require advanced technology and high reliability, they have experience of creating innovative solutions for the most challenging applications.
They specialise in integrated frequency conversion and filter products for satellite payloads and are looking for a Planning Manger - Engineering/Manufacturing environment to join their ever-growing team.
Responsibilities Planning Manger - Engineering/Manufacturing environment:
Line management of production planning/scheduling and material scheduling staff.
Setting up project plans whilst managing risks and their mitigation.
Communicating with operations management & staff and other departments regarding production information and plans, highlighting in advance any potential problems.
Maintaining the integrity of the MRP system demands.
Contributing to estimates, bids and new business plans.
Managing lead time, yield management for manufactured and procured items.
Management of controls for commodity suppliers and consumable suppliers to the operations areas
Development and management of TDS Sales & Operations planning processes.
Demand Planning and forecasting for all areas. Production, capacity planning, Scheduling, Demand Planning for all operational activities (both Direct & Indirect).
Maintaining work centre schedules to ensure proper job scheduling and capacity limitations are understood and communicated when necessary
Qualifications Planning Manger - Engineering/Manufacturing environment:
Experience of leading & managing a planning function within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment
Experience of Risk Management within a programme environment
Experience of establishing and managing programme/business/production plans
Knowledge of cost accounting fundamentals and labour reporting
Working knowledge of material master maintenance, BOMs, routings/recipes, work centres and labour reporting.
Any experience of working as a Master Production Scheduler would be highly beneficial
