Job description

A global player in the power industry seeks an MSc/PhD Graduate Power Electronics Engineer to work on future AC-DC switch mode power supply development. The successful candidates will be a crucial member of the engineering team based in Cambridgeshire as they expand their product and technology.

As the MSc/PhD Graduate Power Electronics Engineer, you will work towards the full life cycle of development, including research, of new products in the areas related to power electronics in the field of switch mode power supplies (SMPS), AC/DC. You'll grow into a key player in the conceptual stage for new R&D projects, especially in the research of new design techniques and the prototyping phase whilst supporting the growth and development of the Company's technology roadmap.

Requirements for the position of the MSc/PhD Graduate Power Electronics Engineer include:
Qualified to MSc or PhD based around power electronics
Knowledge/experience in one of the following; Inverters, SMPS, AC-DC, DC-DC, PSU etc.
Topology knowledge/experience; H-bridge, fly back, half bridge, buck, boost and multiple phase designs, gate driver, step up, step down etc.
Someone who has some industry experience wil be a bonus
