Mechanical Test Development Engineer - Instrumentation - Instrumentation Systems - South Cambridge - to £ 35K + benefits

An excellent opportunity for an Engineer with a background in Mechanical and Electronics construction and testing to join a small but well established, exciting life sciences company who develop new instrumentation systems for the Biopharmaceutical industry. The companies IP enables faster, cheaper drug discovery and development and they are fast becoming recognised as a very high potential technology company.

You will join a multi-disciplinary Engineering team who are involved in the development and maintenance of sophisticated laboratory instrumentation systems, so must have a technical background in Engineering or Physics and a real interest in technology. Any experience of building Instruments / Instrumentation Systems would be great !

Your skills and experience should include for the Mechanical Test Development Engineer - Instrumentation job:

> A relevant qualification in an engineering discipline and/or relevant industrial experience.
> Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles.
> A background in mechanical and electronics construction and testing.
> Hands-on experience with electronic and mechanical systems.
> Ability to design, build, test & troubleshoot - working to technical specifications.
> Ability to work in a small team and get things done.
> Strict attention to detail and appreciation of Quality.

With any knowledge / experience of for the Mechanical Test Development Engineer - Instrumentation job:

> CAD (e.G. PCB design software, SolidWorks).
> Working with manufacturers and suppliers.
> Design and implementation of test jigs and fixtures.

Being a definite advantage.
