Are you an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer - FMCG looking to work for an exciting market disruptor in the Nicotine industry?

My client is an exciting company based in the fast-growing Nicotine Industry. With fantastic growth opportunities within the business, they are now seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - FMCG to join their growing engineering team based in London.

The Mechanical Design Engineer - FMCG will work closely with a small team of highly-skilled engineers to help to create, analyse and develop innovative and complex electro-mechanical products and systems.

Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer - FMCG:

- Degree Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably with some industry experience but if you're passionate, driven and have the right skills, please do apply.
- Experience designing complex electro-mechanical consumer goods using SolidWorks.
- Experience of technical documentation (including GD&T) and design calculations to achieve high performance and reliability.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including plastic injection moulding, metal extrusion and machining, to influence design choices and ease of manufacture.
- Preferable - Experience designing electro-mechanical and Fluidic systems/Medical Devices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer - FMCG:

- Produce innovative concepts and carry ideas through from brainstorm to detailed prototype.
- Mature prototype designs for manufacture and produce technical drawings.
- Develop methodical test procedures and build test rigs to prove concepts and verify designs.
- Gather and analyse data and write reports, to provide creative solutions to problems with prototypes and existing products.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners in Asia and the U.S., Including some travel to manufacturing sites.
